About this Demo

This application is a visual explainer and scenario tool for Article 6.2 ITMO flows between the Philippines (supply) and Switzerland (demand), built on top of the Hedera Guardian and digital MRV concept.

Purpose

The demo showcases how digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) combined with the Hedera Guardian framework can enable transparent, tamper-evident ITMO issuance and transfer workflows. This addresses key challenges in Article 6.2 implementation:

  • Ensuring traceability of emission reductions
  • Preventing double counting through corresponding adjustments
  • Providing transparent accounting for both host and buyer countries
  • Enabling trust through verifiable credentials and blockchain-based integrity

Technology Stack

This demo is built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. It uses static mock data to illustrate the workflow concepts. The actual implementation would integrate with:

  • Hedera Guardian for policy management and Verifiable Credentials
  • Hedera Token Service for ITMO tokenization
  • Hedera Consensus Service for tamper-evident event logging
  • Digital MRV systems for real-time monitoring data

Current Status

Module 1 (the Article 6.2 Sankey and workflow view) is fully implemented. Other modules (Project Developer Portal, Verifier Workspace, Authority Console, and Buyer View) are currently stubs that will be developed in future iterations.
